PTI/Rutgers University CGCIO Program

Please complete this application for the 2025-2026 CGCIO Program offered by the Public Technology Institute (PTI), Fusion Learning Partners, and Rutgers University Center for Government Services. Classes begin September 2025 and run through August 2026. Staff will contact you directly regarding your application.

This nationally recognized program equips government technology professionals with the requisite tools to improve and demonstrate your leadership skills to best manage your organization. 

Because career paths can rapidly change, PTI has expanded the program to allow graduates to be designated as either: 

Certified Government CIO (CGCIO) or Certified in Government Technology Leadership (CGTL) 

During this 12-month program (total of 240 contact hours to include three full-day classes, nine monthly* class discussions - all virtual, and self-paced online coursework) we will address: 

• Leadership styles • Communicating for results • Managing change • Assessing organizational effectiveness 

* Monthly class discussions are two hours in length 

Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferrable
